Bringing you extra good tidings of joy!

Count down to your favourite market of the year.

It’s time to don those cosy winter woollies, as we’re counting down to our favourite event of the year: the Forty Farmers Fair at Rheged! This magical event will take place on Saturday, 15 November, from 10 am to 3 pm.

Bigger and better than ever

This year’s market is going to be bigger and better than ever, with over 40 amazing stallholders ready to fill your baskets with gorgeous seasonal delights. Think twinkly lights, festive tunes, plenty of community spirit and local goodness — all wrapped up in a truly magical atmosphere.

The Lovingly Artisan Bread Truck is on the move…

Swing by our Lovingly Artisan bread truck for a little festive indulgence! As usual, our counter will be brimming with lots of delicious sourdough, pastries, and we’ll also be bringing along a few Christmas treats.

Scrumptious Christmas Bakes – Come and explore

Pride of place will be our scrumptious Christmas bakes, and we can’t wait to share these lovelies with you, including our Cherry-rich Christmassy Cumbrian-Inspired Bake — made with Lovingly Artisan milled rustic brown flour, rich cherries and plump juicy raisins. Luxurious, rich, and simply divine. Then, there’s our Christmas Mince Pies – an artisan twist on a timeless classic, handcrafted with a buttery sweet shortbread gently resting on top of rich spiced fruit. A little sparkle of Christmas spirit. And to finish, there’s our Festive Cruffins – a festive hug in a pastry. Layers of buttery croissant, baked into a light and airy muffin, cradled with a rich spiced fruit and crème pâtissière, then dusted with a soft snowfall of icing sugar. All the joy of a mince pie and more!

As well as lots of lovely artisan stalls, throughout the day, they’ll be a fantastic line-up of free talks in Screen 2 – all well worth a listen:

10.30 am – Home Grown Here: Life on the Veg! with Lynn Barnes from Vista Veg

11.30 am – Cumbria 1,000 Years of Maps with author David Felton

12.30 pm – Cheese & Wine Pairing with The Ethical Airy and Northern Wine

1.30 pm – Deer, Woods and what’s on our Plates with Jo Sheehan from Cumbria.

So, gather your gang, grab your baskets, and get ready for a day of merry-making, shopping, and festive fun at the Forty Farms Fair, Rheged.

Let’s make this the jolliest market of the season — filled with laughter, belly cheer, and plenty of local love.  Pop Saturday 15 November in your diary and don’t miss out on this ding, dong merrily event.

See you there.
