Are you stuck in a rut and ready to browse guilt-free?

Are you stuck in a sourdough rut? Are you ready to browse and ponder confidently? If you’re anything like me the “COVID Way” has made you feel guilty; the whole idea that it’s not socially acceptable to browse and you dare not stand still for a moment, you feel that wherever you are, you’re always in the wrong place, feel the need to be invisible. Let’s stop this. We can still browse and be safe.

Let’s unite as shopping lovers. It’s about time we removed the guilt. Retail therapy, filling your soul with inspiration, awaking your senses and seeing pretty things is good for you.

So, get masked up and we can keep our distance, but not from the stuff that makes you happy. I have always adored a trip to Armstrong & Ward, and love a spy in Idaho, yet I have stopped doing what I loved.  I’ve got myself in the zone of not going out, not visiting all the places I loved. It was only when I did visit again for the first time, that I realised how good for me these trips were. Creatives need stimulation, we need things, like books and magazines; exploring broadens the soul.

I never felt the need to buy; sometimes, I just went to absorb all the gorgeousness, yet I must confess, the purse was out of the bag more than it was in!

It’s not about being naughty. It’s about being nice to yourself

Creating a whole new set of rules

  1. Shop slowly and confidently, remind yourself of how to browse joyfully
  2. Enjoy the moment, find things that inspire you
  3. Take home something new – ask us for a slice of our sourdough samples, we have Spiced Apple Sourdough this week alongside Quinoa and Mrs Kirkham’s Cheese & Chilli – it’s a taste sensation.

This is all about putting the joy back into shopping. We adore a little bread banter, the exchanging of recipes, cooking tips and the treasured friendships we build over a counter. We know the masks don’t make it easy; we just need to practice and practice together.

Let’s make shopping an enjoyable experience again, together.
