This is truly one of our true bread bin staples. A family favourite from teething tots to hungry teenagers. The depth of character in this white sourdough loaf comes from our traditional sourdough baking method. We take 24 hours to prove this delicious chewy sourdough, with a double fermentation.
Perfect with: tasty toppings. This bread is a real all-rounder. It will sit in the bread bin for days, and if you have any left it makes fantastic bruschetta – Aidan’s favourite with a chilled beer!
All of our Sourdough is made to order, to ensure you receive the highest quality, most delicious bread. With that in mind, please make sure you order in plenty of time!
Your order journey…
Day 1 – Order placed (our order cut off is 4pm)
Day 2 – An early start for our bakers… Your bread dough is made and molded
Day 3 – After 24 hours+ fermentation your bread is baked and then carefully boxed before being collected by courier.
Day 4 – Your sourdough is delivered safely to your doorstep! Enjoy!
*please note that we take Sundays as a day for our bakery team to rest and recuperate!

Our sourdough is lovingly made with our thirty-year-old starter created by Aidan Monks and moulded by gentle hands.
Best eaten within 4 days of purchase.
Ingredients (allergens listed in bold): Wheatflour, Water, Rye flour, Semolina [Wheat], Salt
Allergens present in the bakery are:
Wheat, Celery (in the Cheese & Marmite Sourdough), Low gluten neutral sourdoughs.
All of our products are suitable for vegans and vegetarians, except for the Mrs Kirkhams Cheese & Marmite, Cheese and Chilli, Saffron Buns.
Our sourdough freezes brilliantly.
Pack each individual sourdough loaf separately in a size appropriate freezer bag. Store your sourdough loaf on its side in your freezer. This will create more freezer space and protect the shape and form of the bread.
Remove your sourdough loaf from its freezer bag, and allow to defrost naturally at room temperature.
