Fridays at Kendal Farmers Market
Join us this Friday in the Market Square.
There’s something especially enjoyable about a Friday morning on Kendal’s Market Square at this time of year. The light mornings are back (at last), we can see what we’re doing while setting up, and the town feels like it’s waking up after a long winter. As we set up the bread truck, the run club jogs past, early risers walk on by, and we get the coffee and pastries ready for the early morning gang.
A proper spring day market
This Friday feels like the first proper spring market, and we’ll be there with our bread truck, doors open and shelves brimming, as we are back at Kendal Farmers’ Market. Markets are more than just a place to shop. They’re where stories are shared, where new flavours are discovered, and where supporting local becomes something tangible and joyful. Every loaf, every stall, every conversation plays its part in keeping our local food culture alive, rooted in British farming, craft, and care. So come, wander and stock up ahead of the weekend.
Take a stroll around the market
Take a stroll around the market and explore some of our brilliant fellow traders. There’s exceptional local meat from Deer & Dexter, Frank’s amazing goat’s cheese, and beautiful hand‑grown blooms from Black Horse Farm. Go see Laura and get some eggs from Martindale Muscovies & Waterfowl, and lovely local honey from the lads at Cross Apiary. It’s a reminder of just how much good food and craftsmanship exist right here on our doorstep, and a chance to fill your shopping bags up!

Pick up a coffee, treat yourself to a pastry, and take your time enjoying it all. While you’re with us, do try our latest bake: beautifully soft milk rolls. Light, fluffy, and quietly irresistible, they’re made for spring days ahead. Tuck them into a rucksack for a walk on the fells, fill them for an easy picnic, or turn them into the perfect bun for your first barbecue of the season.
So come and enjoy the longer days, grab a coffee, soak up the atmosphere and stock up for the weekend ahead. We can’t think of a better way to welcome spring.
