Mother Earth needs our love

Mother Earth needs all our love and a little more tender care, here, there and everywhere. We try our best, using British grains and a wood-fired oven. We’re on a journey, baking with organic grains. So what else can we do?

We’ve invested in a ‘right, smart, trendy crumber.’ Any little loaves that are not heading to charity, head to the crumber. We don’t keep many secrets; we can only tell half the tale, yet we crumb and put them to good use. Wow wee, what a difference! Crumbing not only impacts flavours, crust and keeping qualities; it’s an old technique. Naturally, Aidan has adapted the process to suit our baking style, making the most delicious loaves that are truly good for you.

But can we try harder? Yes, we can. We need a little help from YOU, our dear friends. We all want to get better at recycling or upcycling so we’re encouraging all our lovely customers to go canvas.

Last year, you may have been gifted one of our Lovingly Artisan tote bags. Well, don’t forget to pop it in your motor and we’ll fill it full of lots of lovely goodies.

Our gorgeous shoppers used to cost a fiver, now they’re only three quid. A little loaf loving kindness.

Get better at reusing your waxed paper bags by giving them a second life. Why not use them to squirrel away your cheese, pop your herbs in for a little summer freshness and don’t forget your vegetables, they love this space too. And don’t forget your organic sourdough loaves, they too love their little wax bag blankets!

Happy recycling and upcycling this summer.

And finally, just before we go…
…don’t forget to swing by our bakery this bank holiday weekend to pick up all your yummies. Yep, business as usual.
