He commented: ‘This is unexpected. I was rather blown away with emotion, and gratitude. We have come so far since 2019, when I was previously titled the countries Baker of the Year. Everything is so different now, the bakery, our innovation, recipes, and having the best team. An incredible team north and south, our extended family. This is not just about me, it’s about the team too. Speechless is very rare for me but I am absolutely over the moon, and for Catherine (my wife & partner) and Dean (Bakery Manager) too.’
This is such an accolade for Cumbria, without doubt, we were up against the best of the best, in our country, exceptional bakers.
