Oh I Do Like to Be Beside the Seaside, you don’t need to be beside the seaside to enjoy this Buttered Toast ice cream created by The Milking Parlour of Kirkby Lonsdale. Yes, we have joined forces with the best of the best.

Well, how does that work – you may ask? The Milking Parlour (one of the county’s most innovative ice cream makers) has taken our Malted Barley (our finest wholegrain) and reinvented the yum!
Head to the stunning market town of Kirkby Lonsdale, lined with gorgeous shops and of course gorgeous folk. Thursday is market day. Florence (our bread truck) will be sitting pride of place and filled to the brim with tasty sourdoughs and scrumptious pastries, including Cinnamon Twists, Bear Claws, Pain au Chocolate and our recently introduced Cumbrian Teacakes. There are so many wonderful stalls to explore. It’s definitely worth a trip.
Get into the vibe, pop on your sunglasses and head on down. We’ve already booked the sun to shine! You may even get chance for a cheeky lunch at The Royal Hotel. Go on, give it a whirl. Three cheers for Kirkby Lonsdale.

You may ask what’s the gig? We’re the best gig in town. Penrith town. Saturday 20 April is the day that over 30 farmers will be popping up their stalls of inspirational food, flowers and crafts at Rheged.
The coffee station will be open ready for your caffeine cravings, pastries baked, focaccia roasted, sourdoughs galore and lots to explore.

With over 20 stalls, it’s going to be a fair old gang of artisans celebrating their scrumptious food and drink. A little bit for everyone to enjoy.
