Eden Yard and Lovingly Artisan
A lovely Cumbrian Love Story.
Eden Yard and Lovingly Artisan have united their passions for producing the most wholesome grains and loaves. This is a shared vision of growing grains in Penrith through to milling in Burneside, filling our loaves full of goodness, baked in our wood-fired ovens. This is all about provenance, looking after Mother Earth, while creating the most nourishing loaves for you all to enjoy.
‘Cumbria has one of the countries finest food landscapes and is now growing our very own grain.’ Aidan Monks.
If you would like to hear more about our collaboration with Eden Yard and our journey so far, then why not tune into BBC Radio 4 – On The Farm – The Bakers in the Rye this Sunday 20 October at 6.35 am when broadcaster Caz Graham will be able to fill you in on all the detail.
A little about Caz Graham
Caz (a northern lass) grew up on a mixed farm in north Cumbria and started her career in the 1990s as a presenter on BBC local radio and in both radio and television production for BBC Scotland in Glasgow. She’s currently a freelance journalist working primarily in radio for BBC Radio 4 often reporting for and presenting Farming Today and On Your Farm. She is interested in pretty much anything agricultural but particularly cooperation in farming, rural communities sustainability and upland farming. And she loves a good story to tell.
So if you don’t won’t to miss out, pop the date in your calendar and yep please note the date has changed to Sunday 20 October at 6.35 am. Here at the bakery, we’re all super excited and will be tuning in early. Hope you can too or catch up online at a later stage.
