Handmade Croissants by Lovingly Artisan
Content-inental breakfast? Is it just us, or does the first bite of a proper handmade croissant by Lovingly Artisan transport you instantly to a sun-drenched French village on the first day of your holidays?
Well we’re delighted to share with you that taste of la joie, no passport required. Our baker Aidan Monks has been playing with some beautiful organic Normandy butter, and he’s created new pastries to show off its unmistakeably French scent and flavour. Handmade croissants by Lovingly Artisan a taste sensation.
Churned from the rich milk of organic grass-fed cows in the famed Isigny-sur-Mer region of Normandy, this special butter is the magic ingredient that gives our new croissants and pains au chocolat their light, springy middles and crispy shells. If you’re covered in flakes of pastry after you’ve eaten one, it’s a sign you’ve really enjoyed yourself. We think of it as a minibreak for the soul!
So follow the crumbs to our bread store at Lovingly Artisan HQ in Kendal, where you’ll find Aidan Monks in his Pastry Kitchen every morning hand-rolling a new batch for the oven. Or look out for our new pastries at our Altrincham bread stores. Bon appetit! Come and explore the Bread Stores – Handmade croissants by Lovingly Artisan are on taste

Early bird catches the saffron bun
Our Bread Stores feel extra special first thing in the morning. The bread baskets are full, the baguettes are still warm and there’s a buzz outside the bakery as we send wholesale orders on their way.
We know it’s the school holidays when we start spotting younger visitors among our early birds. We’ve noticed they’re fond of a cheese-and-chilli grissini or a soft saffron bun – perfect for tearing apart with little fingers in a sunny spot outside. It’s a delight to watch them sampling the different sourdoughs on taste and telling their accompanying adults what to buy. The next generation of Lovingly bread heads has excellent taste!
