This week our bakery store has created a few more new treats ready for you to swing by and taste. All made with northern bakery soul. Nutritional ingredients, rewarding flavours, wholesome in every way. Lovingly baked in a wood-fired oven, crafted by hand, and made by our Lovingly Artisan bakers.
It’s been rather a rowdy bakers debate
It’s been rather rowdy here with so much debate, deliberation, lots of munching and crunching. All with a mission of creating something tasty to go with cheese; if you know us, we love a good tasty cheese, especially Mrs Kirkham’s Lancashire, a family favourite of course.
Behind the bakery scenes this winter the bakery sketch books have been bursting with new ideas and our scrapbooks are blunging with scrumptious eats – eats with butter, eats just as they are, and eats to go with cheese!
So, what’s new? We hear you cheer from your armchairs: Northern Bliss-cuit, a cheese biscuit packed with organic barley, oats, bran, honey, and butter baked gently to a soft amber tone in the wood-fired oven. It’s a definite winner. Don’t miss out – pop into our bakery store near Kendal today and pick up a packet of Northern Bliss-cuit’s, in readiness for the coming weekend. Einkorn & Cranberry Scones made with organic Kefir, Gilchesters Organics Flour, and juicy cranberries; the perfect tummy-loving treat. The light malty flavour accompanied with juicy cranberries provides a lovely texture, wholesome and nothing naughty but very nice. Yet another winner.
Now, let’s talk Easter. We’re all looking forward to seeing bunnies, blue skies, daffodils, pastel palettes, and all things Spring. We can’t wait, very excited and yes, it’s now in sight.
Lovingly Artisan Hot Cross Buns are also hitting the shelves this week. Made with organic stone ground flour, sultanas, currants, sour cherry, fig, apricots, lemons, orange, mixed spice and flaked salt. Wow, now that’s an ingredient list! Everything we love about Easter baked into a scrumptious Hot Cross Bun. As we say – what’s not to like?
