Our sourdough is lovingly made with our thirty-year-old starter created by Aidan Monks and moulded by gentle hands.
Best eaten within 4 days of purchase.
Ingredients (allergens listed in bold):
Pain de Campagne – Wheatflour, Water, Rye flour, Semolina [Wheat], Salt
Saffron Buns – Wheatflour, Egg yolk, Sultanas [Sulphites], Buttermilk Powder, Sugar, Water, Yeast, Salt, Malt Extract [Barley], Saffron.
Hawkshead Relish Sour Cherry & Prosecco Jam – Cherries (49%), Sugar, Lemon Juice, Prosecco (4%), Gelling Agent-Pectin.
Allergens present in the bakery are:
Wheat, Celery (in the Cheese & Marmite Sourdough), Low gluten neutral sourdoughs.
All of our products are suitable for vegans and vegetarians, except for the Mrs Kirkhams Cheese & Marmite, Cheese and Chilli, Saffron Buns.
Our sourdough freezes brilliantly.
Pack each individual sourdough loaf separately in a size appropriate freezer bag. Store your sourdough loaf on its side in your freezer. This will create more freezer space and protect the shape and form of the bread.
To defrost:
Remove your sourdough loaf from its freezer bag, and allow to defrost naturally at room temperature.
