All you want for Christmas

Have you made your Christmas list yet? If you can’t imagine Christmas without your favourite croissants and trusty sourdough loaves, we’re here to help you get them in the bag. This Thursday, November 24, we’re opening up advance orders in our Bread Stores for Christmas collections.

We’ll be open as usual at the Bread Store Plumgarths and Altrincham Market until 2pm on Christmas Eve – pick up a flyer in store for our festival opening hours.  But to avoid the crushing disappointment of discovering that your bestie breads have all been snaffled, we’re inviting you to order and pay ahead for collection from store on 22, 23 and 24 December*. Collection slots are limited and available on a first-come-first-served basis. So next time you visit your local Bread Store, don’t forget to get your name down and tick off the most important to-do on your festive planner. Yule be glad you did.

*In-store orders only. The last collection date for online orders is 21 December. Order online by 14 December to collect in store or receive via nationwide delivery on 21 December.

Easy freezy

We’ve got a fantastic gang of regulars who pop into our Bread Stores at Plumgarths and Altrincham Market every week – sometimes every day – for their fix of focaccia, ciabatta, saffron bun and sourdough loaf.

But if you can’t get to us as often as you’d like, can we tell you how brilliantly our bread and pastries freeze? We’ve designed our own natural-wax lined brown paper bags to protect our breads, buns and bakes from extreme cold. Just freeze them as soon as you buy them, defrost them (in the bag) at room temperature and they’ll be as fresh and delicious as the day they were baked (we recommend a quick flash in a very hot oven to revive our pastries and focaccia to full fabulousness). If you’ve got the freezer space, why not take advantage of our flat-rate delivery charge (£6.50) to do a bulk online order – at Christmas or any other time of year. Details at lovinglyartisan.com

Chalet see you there?

Pass the fairy lights! We’re as busy as elves decorating our chalet at Beetham Nurseries for the Christmas Fair on 1-4 December, where we’re taking part in the producers’ market alongside some of the North West’s most talented artisans. Do come and say hello-ho-ho to our baker Aidan and baker’s wife Catherine, who’ll be sharing tasters of our award-winning ancient grain sourdoughs, authentic Italian-recipe breads and irresistible French butter pastries.
