Christmas orders at Lovingly Artisan
All you want for Christmas Untangle the fairy lights! Mull the wine! As we start our official countdown to the most delicious time of the year, here’s our Lovingly guide to the Season of Good Bread.
Chalet see you there?
We can’t think of a more fabulous way to start the festive season than a four-day shopping extravaganza among lovely people, produce and plants. As part of the Beetham Nurseries Christmas Market Weekend (1-4 December) we’re setting up camp in the Chalet Village among some of the best artisanal producers in the North West.
Catherine and her elves are busy decking out our chalet – we’ve always wanted a chalet! – with twinkly lights and gorgeous garlands. Aidan and his bakers are already mixing, shaping and proving dough for the slow-fermented loaves and buttery pastries that they’ll be bringing to the Fair each day to slice and share. Come and say hello-ho-ho and try our award-winning ancient grain sourdoughs, authentic Italian-recipe breads and irresistible patisserie. We can promise you one-of-a-kind Christmas shopping as well as some exceptional nibbling. beethamnurseries.co.uk
Order, order
Advance orders for Christmas collections from our Bread Stores are NOW OPEN.
Our stores at Plumgarths and Altrincham Market are open as usual until 2pm on Christmas Eve – But to avoid the crushing disappointment of discovering that your favourite breads have all been snaffled, we’re inviting you to order now for collection from store on 22, 23 and 24 December. Collection slots are limited and available on a first-come-first-served basis. So next time you visit your local Bread Store, don’t forget to get your name down and tick off the most important to-do on your festive planner. Yule be glad you did.
The gift of great bread
Nothing says ‘I love you’ like a bag of chocolate pastries. Nothing says ‘thank you’ like a loaf of great sourdough. Nothing says ‘I don’t know what to buy you but I know you will LOVE this’ like a selection of beautiful Lovingly Artisan breads and pastries hand-wrapped in a brown paper parcel.
We’ve put our Staycation Christmas Box together specially for festive gifting – it’s a wonderful pressie to send to yourself as well! It contains two croissants, two chocolate croissants, an ancient-grain Einkorn tin loaf, an award-winning Rugbrod (perfect with smoked salmon and cream cheese) and our sensational Spiced Apple Sourdough (for magic turkey butties). We’ve popped a jar of Hawkshead Relish’s Christmas marmalade in there, too, because it’s heaven on a sliced of buttered Einkorn toast.
Visit our website at lovinglyartisan.com to order from a selection of bread boxes or make up a bespoke one from our full range of breads and pastries. Orders for pre-Christmas deliveries must be placed by 14 December (for the final delivery date of 21 December).
We hand-pack them on the day they’re baked and send them by overnight courier anywhere in the UK – including in-laws’ and holiday cottages.
Oh, you shouldn’t have!
Bread lovers are so easy to buy for. Here are some of our favourite floury gifts:
- A box of Lovingly Artisan sourdough and handmade French-butter pastries, delivered to their door in time for Christmas (see above).
- A subscription to their favourite Lovingly Artisan loaves, delivered to any UK address weekly, fortnightly or monthly (set it up at lovinglyartisan.com).
- The best bread knife we’ve ever used (made in France; available to buy in our Bread Stores).
- The greenest, most flavourful organic olive oil we’ve ever tasted (grown and pressed in the French Pyrenees; available to buy in our Bread Stores).
- Some of the loveliest Cumbrian jams that ever graced a slice of toast (made in our home county of Cumbria; available to buy in our Bread Stores).
- An eclectic selection – an eclection?! – of edible-and non-edible treasures, made by us and some of our friends, available to browse and buy in our Bread Stores.
Have we told you lately…
… how brilliantly our bread and pastries freeze? We’ve designed our own natural-wax lined brown paper bags to protect our breads, buns and bakes from extreme cold. So if you’re lucky enough to receive one of our bread boxes for Christmas or want to do a bulk online order – here’s how you do it. Just freeze them as soon as you buy them, defrost them (in the bag) at room temperature and they’ll be as fresh and delicious as the day they were baked. (We recommend a quick flash in a very hot oven to revive our pastries and focaccia to full fabulousness).
Don’t forget last online orders for pre-Christmas deliveries are on 14 December.
Happy advent! xx
