Freezing your sourdough this Christmas

It’s frosty outside

Tis’ the season to freeze your delicious sourdough with the joy of knowing you have squirrelled away your favourites to enjoy during this festive season.

There’s something rather smug and reassuring, knowing you have a few ciabattas and a lovely loaf of sourdough stashed away in your freezer for all of those just-in-case moments, the unexpected guest and of course our crazy weather!  Need we say more?

All of our loaves freeze beautifully in their waxed-lined bags provided by our bread store elves. Just allow the bread to defrost naturally in the bag and ho ho ho you’ll have the perfect feast. Going away for Christmas? Well, you don’t have to miss out on our scrumptious bread. Yep, you can take it with you.

This Christmas we’ll be open until Monday 23 December, serving you (our lovely customers) until the counters are bare. As a special treat we’re opening our doors on Sunday 22 December, make sure to stop by and stock up for Christmas, and get your Sunday breakfast delights! Then our team of bakers and bread store gals will be hanging up their oven gloves and aprons until Saturday 28 December for a well-deserved rest. Family time, time to sleep, eat, drink and be merry on sourdough.
