A question we often ask ourselves is could we do more to help protect our planet?

Sure, we need to do way more – and we are just warming up to way bigger and bolder moves. We also appreciate you’re doing your part already and Mother Earth appreciates everything so far… but more needs to be done. We are a small bakery, a little dot on our lovely landscape, and we need a lot of fellow planet loving folks to help us do just a bit more. We need to team up and continue to take steps in the right direction…

We’re sure you will have heard us say many, many times “Did you know…

You can reuse the wax bags we provide, again and again!” We are always more than happy to refill until all the goodness is gone… Then they can make for epic cheese bags, herb bags and butty bags. Just don’t bin or discard them to quickly… A little more artisan living requires reinventing a cheeky bag to become a house holders best mate. We go on and on about using our brown paper bags. But what if we can do better… Well, we can, and we have!

Welcome our new Lovingly Artisan tote bags! About to be shared with our loyal, loving customers (you know who you are). There’s a special crew, who have travelled to us through rain storms, blistering sunshine, blizzards & pandemics – we love and treasure the lot of you. Those special few will be gifted one of our beautiful new canvas bags and they will also be available for everyone to purchase; all we ask is that you bring it with you again & again, whether that’s on your daily, weekly or monthly pilgrimages to the bakery. We will happily pop all of your tasty purchases in there and work together with you to reduce waste.

Our tote bags will be available to purchase from our Bread Stores in Cumbira and Alty Market from tomorrow! You can also find them at Kirkby Lonsdale Market this Thursday (28th), and Kendal Farmers Market this Friday (29th September)
