Resolutions, Reflections and Resetting your Lifestyle Goals…
If you’re anything like us, over the Christmas holidays, we have indulged far more than usual. We have worked through our Reserve Wine stash, and we don’t mind telling you it was amazing – An inspirational selection of worldwide wines.
Within days our bodies feel like they have been assaulted by a rich diet of chocolatey treats and puddings. As a result, we end up more than relieved to get back to a plainer way of living, to cut back on the over indulgences and wean ourselves off the mid-week drinking (never easy)!
Let’s kick start the new year with health and happiness!
Are you making a New Year’s resolution? With vision boards already in construction, goals and ambitions noted from the big dreams to the small and delightful changes you’d like to achieve.
As many others do, we generally start by deciding on a few healthier lifestyle choices to implement into our lives. Through to the things we would like to learn, study and develop. This year, Santa brought Aidan a 6-week fermentation course. He’s beyond excited and determined to bring his new-found knowledge into all of his workshops and how we approach sourdough.
From us this year – you’re going to experience some new bread; our Wholemeal and Bran is already in re-development, and if you haven’t tried our Danish Rugbrød yet, you need to, it’s gorgeous as well as being incredibly good for you.
Over the next 12 months, you’re going to be hearing, reading and discovering how “Sourdough bread is no diet demon” in fact, it’s quite the opposite. Sourdough plays an essential role in your diet.
When you’re writing your lifestyle goals for 2021, remember to pop sourdough on your list. Especially the whole grains!
Yep. Life this year hasn’t quite been what we had hoped for, we’ve learned that it’s all about making it work for your aspirations and loves; we have adapted our thinking and totally reinvented our breaducation.
Lightening those lockdown-living vibes – we’ve had a thought.
It always helps to have nice things in the diary, and if you fancy doing something new and creative with the family, perhaps this year it could be learning how to make bread!
You may not remember the last time you and your hubby went ‘out out’, or even remember the last time you got properly dressed up. If you’re desperate for a giggle (and lots of laughter is required), we bring to you a total change of scene. A Sunday fun-day with your favourite artisan baker. You could do this together as a couple or a family. Life has changed; we are all about the family experience.
What’s changed
All of our workshops now take place online. They’re professionally filmed you get the recordings for life – there’s no sell-by date on the knowledge we share.
Prior to the course, we post you a bakery kit; a box bursting with everything you need to bake sourdough goodies:
We gift you one of our bannetons, our 30-year starter, some Gilchesters flour, and a Lovingly Artisan sourdough recipe alongside all the information you need for your workshop.
Life became way too complicated, so we took the complications away. You can via our website (the course fee is per household).
Our next workshop is live on Sunday, 24th January 2021 –
We have lots of knowledge to share, questions and frustrations to answer, all with the motive of nurturing your future bakes. If you are the type of person that would rather learn at your own pace. Or if your preferred learning style is watching and take notes. Then this is the ideal workshop for you too, with recordings you can watch over and over again.
Let’s take away the January blues, by making a little sourdough magic together.
