The award season is just about to unfold, and we have all our fingers and toes crossed for a few significant ones in the wings.  Yet the truth is, they are all important; it’s our measure of whether we are on track,  what we need to implement to improve, it’s a constantly evolving list.

The Artisan Founder and all their values and ethos sit so closely to our hearts; this business is one of those we visit for a frequent boost of delight. It never disappoints, always enlightens, and enriches the soul. When we entered The Artisan Founder Awards, we never imagine that we will make the short list, let alone win. Being an Artisan Food & Drink Award winner is a real buzz, especially alongside some of the most admired businesses.

My motive, though, was a genuine thank you, a moment of real gratitude, if you voted for us then thank you! You have all been on the road with us, and you still are. This year, our first main harvest has taken place with Eden Yard in Penrith and Andrew Wilkinson of Gilchesters Farm in the North East, and this is massive for all. And you too. British grain, grown in the north, milled in Burneside, this whole achievement has to be shared, so these are your awards too, and we thank you.
