A share vision for grain grown in Cumbria

This is a family affair

A wonderful story of 3 families uniting in their vision for grain to be grown in Cumbria. Yep, bold, ambitious, and slightly courageous, all motivated by the desire to feed our northern town folk.

Our first crop is Rye

We have a real passion for Rye. It influences most of our recipes, blended into our Five Grain Rye sourdoughs, giving the bread its depth, and nuttiness. And yet when blended with the stoneground, its lightness is maintained.

Cumbrian grown Rye

The Cumbrian grown Rye is the foundation of all our Danish Rugbrød, award-winning Rye Berry and Rye. You’ll love how our Rye’s stay fresh for ages – that is, if you can resist munching them all right away! They make the perfect family loaf, divine with butter and marmalade, sensational with cheese and great with a little smashed avocado and poached eggs.  Yummy! If you haven’t already purchased these lovelies, then make sure you add this to your shopping list. Perfectly sized quarters, just enough for the weekend, morning toast and evening supper.

We’re on an incredible journey as millers

We’re in our infancy as millers, on a journey with the Taylors, and our mentor Andrew Wilkinson. What we can all promise, is our passions, and commitment are driven by the desire to feed you well, pesticide-free, nutritionally, and innovatively with flavour in mind.
